Sports injuries

Electrical muscle stimulation has long been used as a rehabilitation method by physiotherapists and other caregivers. Cefar works with many national teams’ physiotherapists; for example, the medical teams of the Swedish National Athletics Team and the Swedish Olympics Committee. When you are injured, you lose muscle strength, volume and tone quickly. The rehabilitation programs help prevent this. Electrical muscle stimulation can help build up mobility in an injured joint faster and increase muscle control. The programs let you train the injured muscles, with no load, and the healthy ones, to regain your normal muscle capacity as soon as possible after inactivity. Our sports stimulators also have programs that increase the absorption of hemorrhages in the muscles (clots). Note: These programs should not be used the first 72 hours after an injury.
